The Wisconsin Apprentice Organizers Project (AOP) works to build a strong culture of grassroots community organizing for social, economic, racial and environmental justice in Wisconsin. As such, AOP is committed to increasing the number of, and relationships among, a diverse group of highly skilled organizers from oppressed and underrepresented communities in the state.
AOP is a collaborative organization that engages activists on a variety of levels to support grassroots community organizing in Wisconsin and develop more organizers in the state through AOP’s program. Our organizer training program provides the space and opportunity to engage our apprentices, mentors, trainers and volunteers. We connect individuals who have a passion for justice with experienced, established social justice organizers across Wisconsin through a paid apprenticeship program.
AOP strives for diversity in our program. We do this through a commitment to building and facilitating collaboration and alliances across oppressed communities for future coalitional work.
